Opening hours
Both locations of De Gouden Kooi are always open, from morning until evening, even on public holidays.

Our 4 escape games are located at Gerechtstraat 10, 2800 Mechelen
By car:
There are various parking options in the area.
You can park for free at parking Douaneplein. Then you’re in for a 20 minute walk.
You can park cheap (max. €1 per hour in the week, free from 8 pm and in the weekend) at Zandpoortvest parking lot. This parking tower is located at about 5 minutes walking distance.
Really close (but more expensive) is parking Veemarkt. You’ll have to walk for about 3 minutes.
On certain days there are free shopping shuttles that will drop you off in the city center.
By bus:
The large Veemarkt stop is a 2-minute walk away. Eight lines come together at this stop (1, 2, 3, 4, 30, 50, 306, 508).
Use the Shopping Ticket on Saturdays and shopping Sundays: you can travel for just 2 euros on all direct lines to and from Mechelen. You buy the ticket on the De Lijn website or text MECHELENSHOPPING to 4884.
By train:
Mechelen-Nekkerspoel stop. Then you walk via Keizerstraat to the Gerechtstraat. This walk takes approximately 5 minutes.

By car:
There are various parking options in the area. Nearby is the underground parking Lamot (€ 2 per 35 minutes – € 24 for a day. By using this link to book a parking spot, you get an nice discount). Put your GPS on Guldenstraat 18. Do not use Google Maps as a GPS, because it will lead you via the wrong route!
A little further and cheaper (€2,1 per hour and €15 for a day) is the underground parking Komet. From there you walk about 10 minutes to our location.

The Mechelen Korenmarkt stop is a 2-minute walk away. You get there by taking line 1.

By train:
Mechelen stop. Then you walk towards Bruul, and when you cross the Dyle, follow the Dyle path to the left. That path runs over the Dyle and takes you directly to the Haverwerf. This walk takes approximately 15 minutes. You can also take bus line 1 and get off at the Korenmarkt stop.
