That we at De Gouden Kooi have a passion for escape rooms should come as no surprise. We love this form of entertainment and are committed to making sure this sector is recognized in Belgium. That's why, from day one, we have been involved in the creation of the Federation of Belgian Escape Rooms, BEFEB. We are, of course, members of the federation, and Jan, co-owner of De Gouden Kooi, serves as the chairman of the board of the escape room federation. In this way, De Gouden Kooi plays a key role in shaping the future of escape rooms in Belgium.

Additionally, BEFEB positions itself as a point of contact for various parties such as companies, the press and media, event organizers, and many others. The organization aims to actively support and encourage sector-specific initiatives.
De Gouden Kooi is proud to endorse the ethical charter of BEFEB, which serves as a quality label for the professionalism we stand for. Any escape room wishing to join the federation must sign this charter and agree to all ten points mentioned within it. Safety is the top priority. Additionally, working in a proper manner concerning tax obligations and the use of personal data is also highly emphasized.
The signed charter is prominently displayed in every branch of De Gouden Kooi. We have nothing to hide. In fact, we encourage every escape room in Belgium to sign this charter. This can only ensure that you have a great time in every escape room in Belgium!
